This week we have been learning about telling the time in maths. We looked at o’clock and half past. We also looked at how digital clocks are different and used counting in 5s to help us show these on an analogue clock. Today we went outside and made a train with our group. We went round the playground and at each station had to read the time and draw the hands on a clock.
We had a wonderful time on Friday making cakes for our stall. We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated cakes and helped out on the day. We made a fantastic £175 for Children In Need.
Today we learnt about lighthouses and how they work. We made a simple circuit with our group from a battery, some wires and a bulb. We learnt that the wires had to touch metal to make the bulb light up.
We then made a lighthouse from junk modelling materials. We put the light inside. Then we used some reflective paper inside our yogurt pot to make the light even brighter.
